Internal CI branch for #947 (fork PR from @mukeshbaphna).
Fork PRs cannot use repository secrets, so e2e jobs fail even after workflow approval. This same-repo PR runs the full CI workflow with secrets.
Merge target: #947 once this PR is green (same commits).
